THE FIRST LIGHT IN THE VERONICA CLINIC WAS INSTALLED AND SWITCHED ON (LIT!)

Every winter month, every day and every hour of the cold season means endless periods of worry, cold, hunger and illness, especially for every orphaned or poor child in our country, but also for many single mothers, bringing suffering that is difficult to put into words.

Wood, the price of which has become more expensive than gold, warm clothing that is very expensive to buy, nutritious food that is scarce and difficult to obtain and almost impossible to prepare without a roof over your head and a kitchen, are all reasons for constant sadness and great need.
Can you imagine that children and people in need can also fall ill?

What do you do if you don’t have money for a loaf of bread and your child has a fever?
Where can you borrow something, because after all, “health costs money”?

Who helps the sick and destitute children who have no possibility of asking a doctor for help?

The Veronika Clinic, the only medical and social center in Romania where poor and sick people receive treatment and high-quality medication, is the place where these people not only solve their serious health problems, but also regain their dignity and hope through psychological and loving support.

That is why the “first light”, the first installed electric lamp that is lit in the Veronika Clinic, means infinitely more to us than it generally does.

Today, on St. Nicholas Day, I have to admit that we would not have been able to light the lights in the Veronika Clinic without many dear people who believe in the mission of the Voice of Life.
Every penny, every cent that goes into our Mercy Box or into the Voice of Life accounts wipes a tear from a mother’s face and puts a smile on a child’s cheek.

Among them, in Germany, every year at Christmas, at Easter, at the beginning of the school year and whenever it was necessary, Mrs. Mihaela Grün and the lovely people who surround her at MediGrün Naturprodukte GmbH decided to become friends of St. Nicholas and ambassadors of the children of Voice of Life in Romania.

We will never be able to properly thank all those who love good deeds and fight with us on the front lines of life – may St. Nicholas protect us with his prayers and kindness!
